National Conference Additional General Secretary and Former Minister  Ajay Kumar Sadhotra today lashed out at the BJP for betraying youth and pushing themto wall by shrinking job avenues and failing in filling up the existing vacancies accumulated over theyears across Jammu and Kashmir.
“BJP’s tall claims of generating two crore jobs for youth every year across the country hasproven yet another Jumla “, he said while addressing a public meeting at Udheywalla in JammuNorth Assembly Constituency, where hundreds of youth joined National Conference, led by  Sahil Singh Chib. Sadhotra further added that by that account 20 crore jobs should have been providedin the past 10 years of BJP rule.He said the BJP is sprinkling salt on the wounds of educated unemployed by creating hype ofproviding job letters during specially organised campaigns showcasing the Prime Minister, which isnothing but peanuts on the face of burgeoning unemployment. 
The BJP should be ashamed for itsbrazenness in playing with the sentiments of youth, he added.
Sadhotra accused the so-called double engine government of failing in bringing a job policyand said unemployment continues to be a biggest challenge, especially for industriallyunderdeveloped Jammu and Kashmir The insensitive dispensation is yet to appreciate thisphenomenon as a result of which frustration among educated unemployed youth is growing andthey feel pushed to the wall during these times of acute inflation.
 The hapless youth have nowhereto go for seeking sustenance with many of them facing the prospect of getting overaged for jobs,he added.The Additional General Secretary lauded the unity and resilience demonstrated by youngpeople on the face of pathetic attitude of the BJP towards them, saying they are not alone in sucha highly deplorable situation but National Confidence stands by them, he said.
 Sadhotra exhorted the workers to generate awareness about anti-youth and anti-peoplepolicies of the BJP government, which instead of focusing on governance and development isindulging in antagonizing different segments of society, especially the youth to divert the attentionfrom real issues.
 He said the BJP has miserably failed in fulfilling promises made to the people beforeand after the elections.On the occasion, several public spirited activists, youth joined the National Conference.Welcoming young people into the party fold, Mr Sadhotra exuded confidence that they willfurther strengthen the cadre and take forward the public movement under the banner of NationalConference to meet challenges faced to the Jammu and Kashmir on various fronts. He said the youthhave a crucial role in shaping the destiny of this under-privileged Jammu and Kashmir and create asituation wherein people belonging to various segments of society and region can have equalopportunities to progress and prosper.
 Sadhotra said the National Conference has always been in the forefront to channelizeyouth energy towards productive pursuits and generating avenues for them in the political arena.
“Today’s workers are leaders of tomorrow”, he said hoping the youth to emulate the role oftowering party leaders, who have offered numerous sacrifices to strengthen the bonds of amitybetween various sections of society during most testing times.Babu Ram Paul, Zonal President (Central Zone) and former Minister also welcomed the newentrants and hoped that their dedication and zeal will strengthen our party and leadership Dr.Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah. He asked the youth to come forward to create atmosphere ofbrotherhood and abolish atmosphere of hatred spread by BJP. 
He said National Conference iscommitted to create job opportunities for youth so that they could become self sufficient. He askedthe youth not to mislead by the religious emotional propaganda of BJP.
